‘Health Ingredients Europe & Natural Ingredients 2010’ took place in Madrid (16-18 November 2010). Part of this event was the conference ‘Stevia opportunities in 2011’, hosted by FiConferences on 17 November. 

Chairman Luca Quagliani opened the afternoon session, introducing the first speaker (Jordi Ferre). His subject was the Stevia ’s evolution to a mainstream sweetener.

 The second speaker was Matthias Saß, talking about the qualities of Stevia as an ingredient.

Prof. Dr. Fred Brouns (Maastricht University), as scientist gave his opinion on ‘Stevia as an option for sugar reduction strategies’.
