Frances Hunt, Secretary General, International Sweeteners Association

With a background in European Law and European public affairs, Frances Hunt started her career in Belgium in the public affairs department of a large multi-national retail company, with particular responsibilities for food dossiers. For the past 6 years, she has been Regulatory Affairs Manager at ECCO, a Brussels-based consultancy, where she has worked with a number of European and international trade associations and companies involved in the food ingredient business. Frances Hunt currently serves as Secretary General of the International Sweeteners Association (ISA), representing producers and users of low calorie sweeteners. Whilst her activities in this role are mainly focused on food regulatory affairs in the EU, she is also involved in work on international food standards as the ISA representative at the Codex Alimentarius. She represents the ISA on the board of the Federation of European Food Ingredient Industries (ELC).
